Is anyone out there interested in swimming some weekday morning -- Monday or Fri generally works best for me - at Butcher Jones or Lake Pleasant? Just have a hard time jetting out of work early enough to get there for the evening swims, but I really need to get out there and practice. Not looking for a particular pace or anything -- just for some other folks to be out there, safety etc.
Thanks

I would be interested in an early morning at Butcher Jones.  I would prefer Friday, but could make Monday work.

I might be interested as well. I've done it before early in the morning and it's nice
and quiet. You can even venture out of BJC and get some spectacular views.

If it's early enough I can make most days, but other workout scheduling will
be the conundrum.

See this is what i get for not checking in.  I was @ BJC this morning and it was really nice.  No one on the water but, which made it really Jaws like feeling.  I swear I was being watched from below..  Anyhow only stayed for a bit dont like swimming by myself in deep water.

Im game for he next early swim.  Go Mtn man coming up and really haven swam in open water much..  Keep posting and hoping I can make it with some company..

Didn't hear back from anyone. I think I may sleep in Friday and head out there later. Can't pass up a free day to get in an OWS when I don't have to rush to or from work!

Wow. You are right. I was out there July 6 and it was so gross that I cut my swim short. I just kept getting stuck in these massive floating vegetables and sticks. Really disgusting, and you cannot swim normally. Is Lake Pleasant better?

Yes, Lake Pleasant is much better.  There is another thread planning a 5:30AM swim on 7/11. Bring  your bike and ride after!

I guess there is a reason they don't call it Lake Awful.
