running4beer - 2009-08-25 2:35 PM Do they close the parking at any point during the race? How much of an enormous PIA will it be for my bf to either drop me off in the morning or see me off at the start and then come back in 2-3 hrs on Sunday?  Apparently spectating is too difficult and he's got some work to attend to in the next town over.

No, Sara came late last year.  There are 2 entrances/exits.  I believe the Rt 18 entrance will be open the whole day.  We go in and out on the bike and run out the other one.

ETA - I hope he understands when he is doing his first Olympic, you will have something else to do as well.  I am going to have to have a talk with him.

I'll be a henchman with you.  So, it looks like there is a chance I am doing the swim portion of a relay.  So, I'll be able to watch everyone finish strong.  Josh, hopefully there is a way I can return the favor and take lots of good photos of you.

MAX LIVES!!!! Yippie, hope you can make it out to see us. As for the oly run, there is one minor hill at about mile 5. In the big context of the world, it is a mild climb, and not that long, but at the end of going all out, it has kicked my butt a few times.

Swim and ride...I plan to head out to the course this afternoon to swim the pond in wetsuit and ride the bike course to familiarize myself with the course.  Anyone care to join?  If so, let me know by 11AM today.

You are certifiable.  Does anyone know the RD?  My buddy is trying to swap from individual to relay.  I'll be swimming the relay if he can swap it.

There are two RDs and they are very responsive to emails but I'd contact them today as I'm guessing tomorrow forward they will be at the race site most of the day. Check the website for email address.

This will be the first Cranberry I haven't been to since '05. I have a little race of my own the day of the Oly but I suspect most of you will be done or close to done before I start..time zone issues.

Good luck everyone racing! Have a blast out there..I love the course.

Best of luck to you Kathy!

He sent an email yesterday morning (the one from the website mark@something) and hasn't heard back yet.  I'm sure the guy is quite busy!

Try this one:
[email protected]

I wrote them on Monday to switch from the Oly to the Sprint and heard back the same day. I'm guessing the info email goes to more than one person so your chance of hitting someone in the office is probably much better!

Good luck this weekend everyone!
