Hi! I am thinking about signing up for the Olympic Tri durning the Cranberry Trifest. Can anyone provide feedback on that race? I'll be traveling about 3 hours to get to it - is it worth it? Good race? Would love to hear some opinions

Read the previous years' race reports.
I will be doing this race for the 4th time.  Never a negative experience.

I have been doing this race every year since 05. I would recommend getting in soon before it sells out...again!

Check the race website -- it will tell you if the sprint is sold out.

BTW - I'm in for the Oly

The sprint is not sold out. I checked it today. As soon as we know my fiancees schedule in boston, we'll be signing up for the sprint.

And I may still come out and watch the Olympic.

If you really are nervous, try signing up for a throw away Sprint before hand.  A race with no pressure is a great learning experience.

Oh and congrats in signing up for the first one.  I will be down there for the Oly - should be a fun weekend.

Ive been having trouble with the online course map. Is the Cranberry Sprint a lake or ocean swim?

Lake.  Someone on BT did an oly course map.  I assume the sprint is in the same lake just with a shorter course.

The sprint is the same course, the oly runs the outside edge of the pond, the sprint has a bouy course closer in.

The map provided partially works, I think its just the filters here at work. For some reason the majority of the pond is missing, and the name of it was on that section. I couldnt tell if it was a large body of water or not.

Assuming we have the money after arriving in Boston next week, I'm signing up. And if my fiancee finds out her work schedule will allow it, she'll do it too.

It appears that the default only shows the bottom 1/3 of the lake.  If you click and drag on the map itself you can get more of the lake into view.  If that's not the isse, ignore this post

That is the issue. Thanks! I'm definitely going to do this race, assuming money isnt an issue once we get to town.
