This morning I had quite a bit of upper GI distress after breakfast.   I know I was dehydrated after spending the previous day in soccer training - 7 hours on the field.

It went away during the day, I skipped lunch, drank a lot of water, etc.

Has anyone else had that kind of physical reaction to dehydration?

Got kind of loopy and lightheaded once. I was on a bike at the time. That was enough for me to take it seriously.

Last sunday on a tempo run. I was at the 45 minute mark in heat index of 99, and a car passed me from the front, and I realized I hadn't seen it because I was so out of it. Stopped running, and began to walk for a while. Heart rate was at 192, when it should have been 155. I began to run/walk by heart rate and made it back ok. When I got home I had lost 8 pounds.

Saturday was the first time I have ever felt the heat was getting to me and I was dehydrated.  I went and did a 9 mile run and after 7 (about 95 degree heat index) I was starting to feel the heat and dehydration.  I could not seem to get enough water, just felt sluggish and light headed.  Ended up walking the last 1/2 mile of the run and by the time I got home, stomach cramps.  Rehydrated and started feeling better after about an hour.

We had our hottest day on record last month, and then the next day, we broke it, so it was a hot couple of weeks. It was hard to workout and not get dehydrated. For me, a symptom is a headache. Sometimes, I get chapped lips too, usually in the winter though.

I actually fainted in Dec. of 08 due to dehydration. I was training for a 1/2 mary and combined that with all of the holiday stress and gatherings.  Needless to say, feeling insanely nauseaous and then blacking out on the bathroom floor of my bf's apartment (we had only been dating about 4 months at this point) and him catching me before my face met the baseboard heater was enough to make me pay attention to my hydration.

I also did a 12 miler this weekend in the heat and had to stop at the local fish market just to get more water so I didn't pass out.  Thankfully they were really friendly!

Good luck with hydrating and make sure you fuel your body as well even if you bring GU or clifbloks with you.  Hope you feel better!

Not a real-time indictor, but surely a confirmation thereof, roof of my mouth hurts, particularly when eating. This has happened a handful of times (including this last Sat) and I remember being utterly gassed each time.

I echo the comment about a narrowed field of view or reduced sense of what's going on around you.

I was running last week when it was 99 with a heat index of 105. I had plan to run 6 miles but after running out less than 2 miles I could tell the heat was going to cause me serious problems. I don't think I had hydrated enough considering the heat and could tell I was not sweating as much as I normally do. After about a mile more both my calves started getting really tight and I had to walk. I tried to resume running but I hadn't taken the time to stretch my calves and I felt a strain in my left calf. No choice but to walk/hobble the last half mile or so.
