I'm off to the club. Going to have a skin caliper body fat analysis done today, a good reference to see how accurate my bathroom scale is with its body fat reading. Going to try and take a bike ride on my new steed too...woo hoo! The weather is finally warming up!

On the down side, I have a sore achilles heel from my 4 mile run yesterday. For the life of me I cannot figure out why a 55 year old body has as many aches and pains as it does. In my mind I feel like I'm 25, you'd think that'd be enough!

swim this morning, maybe again later today - then again, maybe the bike later today . . .then again, maybe just rest, that seems to be popular today, too.

Since I slept in this morning (until 5:00 am), I skipped my swim. So -- if I don't swim after work, I will take a rest day....

2500 meters in the pool this am. Did 1500 continuous in 29:30! Max, let me know how close the calipers are to the scale. I'm going to have mine checked today at the fitness center by impedance.

Off to be fitted properly for running shoes about noon. Then a swim in the early p.m. Then if the weather holds perhaps I'll try my new running shoes.

let's see.....for the first time in a LONG time.....

I ran 47 minutes without walking! (of course I only covered 3 miles, but that took me over an hour a few weeks ago)

then it was off to the pool to play with my new toys. That was fun but I only lasted 30 minutes. I am pretty tired and it's only noon.

hopefully one day next week I am going to run outside, and it's going to be the 3+ mile course of my first race.

Been very sick all week and haven't done a lick! So though this is normally my rest day, I'm going to the gym.

Will run for approx 1 hour (with a couple of walk breaks) and then, GASP!, I'm going to do weight training. I never do it, so I'll take it easy, but I'd like to develop a program.

Dana

Well,I woke up feeling bummed today. At worked I put together this killer writing training schedule for our upcoming global conference for our international writers. I found out yesterday that another person in our dept. is going to that global conference to help present MY work! Why oh, why did I take another JOB! UggHHH! I should have just stayed a business owner! But I'm trying to get over it. Plus, my cold has turned into what seems like the flu. Achy, snifling sneezy. (Yes, I do want some cheese with my whine!). But it's all good. I'm already feeling better.Off to the gym after work to run and swim. Woo Hoo!Have a great day all!

Well, I did get in my swim today -- 25 minutes and not very much distance, but more than this morning promised.

Kevin -- what a great run! You are on the move!

And Ellen -- 47 minutes????? In my dreams!

3.1 miles in 30:01 in my NEW running shoes! I LOVE new shoes! Just the smell of new shoes is some good motivatin'!
Upped my biking distance to 6 miles - I really need to start timing my rides. And if my left pedal keeps falling off, I'll have to get a new bike...

Tomorrow: a.m. weights, p.m. swim (and burgers on the grill!)

honest!  47 whole minutes!  I cannot wait to do it again tomorrow  LOL  Who would ever have thought I'd be this excited about running again?  and running this slow?.....I mean fast!  I remember when my 5K time was about 34 minutes and I was so mad because I could not get it under 30 to save my life.  Now I'm just happy to be able to do the distance

Rest day here, except for lugging luggage ( hmm, is which came first, the verb or the noun ) through the airport.

Off to Breckenridge to ski for a few days. It's my rest week, so this is my reward for a month of sticking to my program.

Weather is a bit odd, it was 70+ in Denver when we landed. Up in the mtns it's still pretty warmish. Hopefully the snow will stick around a few more days and let me enjoy it.

Cheers!

Today I did 200 pushups, 250 situps, 150 dips, 40 pullups, ran 5 miles, and biked 12 miles. It is my last weekend in Diego Garcia, so a few of my buddies are making me go out drinking with them. I was going to take saturday off, but now I'm gonna have to work off all the extra calories I'm about to take in. :-)

44min run - warmup, run 44min, cool down.

was the very first warm day hear...AND muggy...i have to say i find it much easier to run in the cold weather (below 30). well, i was wearing too many clothes as i didnt want to get chilly and sick from this dramatic temp change.
