Um yikes- anyone take a look at the blowing palm tree in the one bike course picture??  It's gonna be a fun (well not really but I'm trying to convince myself) ride!

Anyone check to see how many cruise ships are going to be in port on race day? Hopefully the course will be monitored and blocked as required to keep vacationers off the course. Seeing how drunk most people get when visiting CZM on a cruise, it might prove a challenge to keep them off the course.

The drunks don't wander too far from Melgar and the main area, I wouldn't worry about them.  I would be more concerned about the conditions and getting yourself acclimated to the climate.  Wife and I just got back from a great trip of diving and it was HOT and HUMID.  I'm into my taper period of IM training for Wisconsin.  I only say this to show my fitness is pretty good right now.  I struggled with running a few times on this trip.  I did 2.5 miles one day and 3 miles another.  Not saying this to scare anyone, just to help you get prepared.  I would arrive as early as possible and start acclimating.  The weather is bound to be cooler in a few months also.

I don't think any cruise ships dock on Sundays, so they won't be around
