Dam, now that I am broke, and have friday off, maybe I will go to work for my meeting in the morning since I will probably roadtrip up there anyway to see what I cant live without. I really may try to snag a wetsuit since the shoulders in mine are a bit tight. I will be interested to see what the race wheelsets are priced.
I snagged a sleeveless QR wetsuit for 40 bucks, will get me into something since my 2xu is tight in the shoulders. They had some good deals on stuff, but I just couldn't get myself to spend the money! Guy ahead of me got a bike for 5200, and the guy behind got a disc and zipp rental for about 1800 bucks. It was pretty busy early Friday morning when the opened.
My wife got a new bike on Saturday at GW. A very sharp QRoo Lucero (titanium). I'm extremely jealous. I'm guessing it's going to be a significant step up from the $800 fuji road bike she's been riding the last 3 years!
I am doing my best to avoid GW this week. I would really like to get set up with a Zipp 404 with a powertap. If I see one on sale I might not be able to resist the temptation. Must stay AWAY!!
I was glad I got there early on Friday. I was able to snag a set of 808s (for as reasonable as they get). I didn't plan on getting wheels for a few more months, but the savings out weighed the wait. The real good deals seemed to go fast. I don't know if they added anything througout the sale. I wished they had few more Larger wet suits. Oh, well.
There were some good deals as far as clothes and other accessories on Sunday afternoon. I was debating going and then suddenly an e-mail popped in my inbox from GW, reminding me of the sale. Wow, amazing timing. I got a nice pair of wind stopper cycling bibs for a deal. I didn't look at the bikes, but there were still plenty there. There was a little of everything, but it appeared picked over. I really wanted a fancy wetsuit...

Ditto...looked for a full wetsuit on Friday after work...$40-$100...all the larger ones were gone...they said they were gone by noon on Friday...

Heh. According to the sizing charts, since I weigh 155, that throws me into the 'medium' category...
I guess snagging a wetsuit at a $40 deal would motivate most 'normal' people to lose 6 lbs or so...
