blueyedbikergirl - 2010-07-26 11:28 PM I'm volunteering this year and hopefully next year with the thought of doing IMC for 2012.

So excited to be a part of the race - good luck to everyone racing!  Laughing

Wow no need to say more as those are my exact words to the letter.  I will be at the bike special needs at the Cawston out and back.  Good luck to all BTers and all athletes.  And I will see you at the starting line in 2012!

I did this aid station for the last two years, and it is AWESOME!  You get to see everyone (well, when 200 aren't going by at a time), and the best thing is that you get to keep whatever the athletes don't take with them!  It's a hot day though, so make sure you wear a hat, bring LOTS of water, a chair, and sunscreen.  Have fun!

Yes its creaping close very fast ... Just did a 3/4 simulation Yesterday and survived.. My Knees are really sore now during the Bike and run..Hopfully the rest will do them some good...My longest bike has been 200k longest run 35k and swim 4500m. This will be my first IM  I have been a runner for years running some 60 marathons and 30 or so Ultra up to 100 miles and never have had to train like this before.. I really am respecting anyone who tackles the training for these events....

See you all there in three!!
Then the Party starts!!

I did this race last year.

The timing chips they put on plastic stripe unless you bring or buy your own timing chip holder. Of course I have about 5 but didn't bring any with me. If you have timing chip holder bring it with you.

For any Americans they had plain Gatorade on the course which has about half the sodium as Gatorade Endurance. On the run they had real Pepsi none of the knock off Sam's Cola like US IM races.

It's a great race and hope the weather is better for you this year than last year....very hot with smoke from fires.

Rode part of the bike coarse Sat, Oliver to the top of Richter pass and back, about 70 km. Richter was not as bad as I thought it would be, nice easy spinning up and before you know it you are there. Now after doing 60km to get there then climb it maybe different story altogether but it was a great ride none the less. Looking forward and getting excited about it all now.
