Run
Comments: It was beautiful day to run. I think that is the best day we have had at the twincites marathon the past few years. The only plan I had was to finish between 3:30-3:45. Coming off of IMMOO a 3 weeks ago I was not sure what to expect. I got in runs the previous two weekends of 16 and 12 miles. Had a little rough patch mentally between miles 16 and 19. Once we hit 20 and started climbing to summit ave I used all the energy I had left to the finish. Post race
Warm down: My wife and kids and father in-law were at the end to meet me. It is the only race they go to with me all year and every year. It sure felt good to see them at the end. I know they support what I do each season and I could not do it without thier support and toleration of the training that is required for Ironman, Triathlons and Marathons. The twincities marathon is always a good way to end the season. I will be back again next year. It is my favorite marathon. Last updated: 2009-10-05 12:00 AM

Got up at 5:30am. Coffee anf frosted mini wheats for breakfast as usual. Father in-law picked me up at the house at 6:30am. He gives me a ride to the metrodome every year so we cannot break from tradition.
Walking from the dome to corral 1 is enough. Chated with a co-worker and off we go at 8am.
