We're due early May and my husband really enjoys these names (giving me a hard time)

Agent

Meta

Particle

Quantum

OR all three Meta Particle Agent, then add the net suffix...

Meta Particle Agent.girl

Meta Particle Agent.boy

*sigh*

My daughter goes to HS with a kid named Quark.  Not a nick.  Not a foreign name.

Here are some of the one's my wife and I thought about for our son:

Addison
Austin
Connor
Zackary

Oh boy.  I REALLY dislike Addison.  I've seen it a lot recently, especially for girls.  I don't think most people realize that it's a disease - as in Addison's Disease (Hypoadrenocorticism).  Of course the disease was based on the surname of the guy who discovered it, but when I hear the name Addison, I can only think of the disease   In my mind, it's no different than naming a child "Parkinson"!

I really like Wade (my husband's name) and Cole.  Congrats and good luck!

Well, considering what group of people you're asking...

Why not name him Joe?

(I'm actually kinda serious. Joe is a good name.)

Don't you know that's a girls name?  Silly!

Oh and Addison sounds kind of cute but it is popular for girls right now even thought it means Son of Adam.  I've never even heard of Addison's disease.  My brilliant cousin has a daughter named Attysin - so very kre8tiv!

That's funny that this thread is following the "Snowed In...." thread.  Snicker!

Our two boys are named Nathaniel (Nathan) and Brandon.

Congrats! I like Peter. It's little used these days.

And don't be in too huge a rush. It took us 4 days to name our first kid. Friends and family were incredulous that we had news of her birth but no name, but we wanted to get to know her before we slapped a label on her. It ended up being a great decision.

Others that we considered included, Noah, Barrett, Mason, Garrett, Wyatt, Emmit, Zachary, Hunter, LoganĀ and Cooper in no particluar order. Good luck with his name, it will come. Congrats and enjoy the little one.

My wife and I were working on boy names today while driving down to Milwaukee. I suggested Barrett (prior to seeing it in this thread) and she asked if that was a real name or if I made it up. Needless to say she did not like it. She isn't pregnant yet, but we're working on it. Hopefully we'll have picked one before #2 arrives.

For a girl we have decided on Gabrielle.

Kid #1 is named Isabelle so we'd have Izzy and Gabby.

My mother always advises to give babies names that will sound good with a title that they may aspire to carry later in life like Judge, General, Doctor, Professor.....

Hey everyone, thank-you all so much for the ideas. I really appreciate all the input. After four days of a nameless child we have finally found one that fits.  Tanner Jeremy followed by my last name.

Thanks again.

I like:

You could go biblical
Adam
John
James
Luke
not Cain, Judas and avoid some old testiment names that no one can pronounce

Or just grab that book of names and figure it out....
I am surprised they let you take the baby home with no name at $1000-2000 per night you better pick one fast 8).

Welcome, Tanner Jeremy!   I like it!   It's spelled like it sounds,  nobody's gonna say 'huh?' at kindergarten attendance, and he could be president with that name!!
