Subject: Anyone know of an LBS in Philly area that builds custom wheels
Hello, I'm building up a new bike and trying to decide on a wheelset. I'm leaning toward a basic Ultegra/Open Pro setup; what I was wondering is if anyone had any experience getting wheels built locally at a LBS in the Philly area. Thanks.

I can't help out if you are set on local, but I can say I had a great experience with the guys at wheelbuilder.com and would have no qualms recommending them despite not being local.

Again, not local, but Performance bike has them. There is a store in Wayne. If you have it shipped to the store there is no delivery charge.

Just bustin' your chops. Hell, I'd still consider Paoli a suburb of Philly. And Performance is a great shop. I don't know anything about custom wheels though.

I'd recommend you go see John Brown and High Road Cycles in Wayne. He built me a set of Open Pros with Chris King/PT hubs...and a set w/ Chris King for my wife. He does great work.
