I did buy a neoprene cap but Saturday mornings I need to ride with the North Shore Triathlon Club.  We have our Penticton weekend riding the IMC course coming up in May so I need to prioritize the bike ride.  Saturday mid-afternoon would be good for me and temperature wise as long most of the ice is gone we should be good to go.

Ice...what ice? Were you around this winter at all?


Here's my day - group ride in the morning, then we have a load of dirt coming for our garden, then dinner with the family later. I may be able to do afternoon, but it just depends on how long it'll take working on the garden....

Oh, and Leah, Kirsten said she think's you're nuts for suggesting this!!

13.5 Celsius. That is the angry temp. Or mad? What was it? Frustrated? No, no, that doesn't sound right. Hmmm.....perturbed!! No, not it either. Livid! Raging! MEAN!!! MEAN, that's it! It's a "mean" 13.5 Celsius at the lake.

I wanted to ask if anyone had ever swum in the lake out in Aldergrove?? I have moved to the north Langley area, and would like to know what might be a nearby suitable outdoor swim area.
I see there is a lake (Whonnock) in Maple Ridge that hosts a summer tri...

I just swam in Whonnock lake tonight and the temperature wasn't too bad. You cannot see much with the dark water and the few weeds are annoying, but beyond that it was fine.

I'm off to meet Marek to swim at noon, today, saturday, at Sasamat.

OK Done!  I counted 7 of us that swam to the canoes and back.  The water was nice and warm.  Regular Friday swims start this Friday.  5:30  Come join us.
