Thanks Sailing for telling me what I needed to hear. I tried to be a little better with my eating and I guess it helped.

WOOHOO under 250, 18lbs total down and well on my way to 243 goal for end of month.. Might need to push a bit more to get 5lbs in the next two weeks..

Working out 5-6 days a week right now and loving it. Even ran in the cold rain the other night... because I couldn't let myself down.  My wife is not into the same workouts or doing a Tri but she is down 10lbs too now, and started the week after me... very proud of her.


Tell your wife I am proud of her as well...It is tough to get started and tougher to keep going. I haven't seen her check in with Team Skinny yet though...Sigh!!.

Down 4 pounds and the taper last week worked, I took 2nd in the 30-39 Clydes at the Florida International Triathlon - Sprint distance on Saturday.  PR of 1:16:22.

Plus, I'm now 3.5 pounds away from a new ride!

considering I had went up to 262.2 when I weighed in Monday morning. This was a welcome site. I still cant believe I can gain 6lbs of water weight in a few days. Dayum....Im like a freaking sponge!

Great Race and weight loss. Heck for a new ride I would be thinking Detox/Cleanse this weekend... Just kidding....good job though.

p.s. I started P90X this week.... I'm doing the "lean" version - I figure that will work best with my tri training. First workout yesterday - Core Synergistics. I didn't feel like the workout was too hard while I was doing it - but I have to admit I'm kinda feeling it this morning!!

I had actually gotten below this late last week, but had a bad weekend for me and carbs. No real junk, but we were out on the harley and had quite a few NA beers which hold too many carbs. But regardless I deserved it, I made my goal and it felt good to relax some. Will see if I can hit my secondary goal of 253.5 yet this month.

Okay, weigh in for the week...

Last week: 167.6
This week: 166.8

Almost down a pound this week :-) Down almost three pounds for the month....yeah!!! I am feeling good about this time around, I will meet my goal of losing 15 pounds by August!!!

Up 2lbs from last week, but still down 10lbs for the month.  Considering it was a pretty crazy weekend with a lot of bad eating, I am not to upset.  My first tri is one month out, so the goal for the next month will be 319 on race day.

Not sure how I didn't loose a single pound. Had 6 great days of working out. 1.5 hour bike rides, swimming, running etc etc. More calories burned in this week then in the last 4. Watched my calorie and carb intake all week same as I have been doing for about 5 weeks now. Creating negative calorie days 5 of 7 days of the week.  (was doing all 7 but found that didn't work) I usually have 1800-2000 calories a day 45% protien, 30% carbs 25% fat and then 2500 calories 2 days a week...where the protien drops a bit and the fat/carbs go up a bit those days.

Only other thing I did different this week was less protien shakes, more protien from real food.

Oh well must be a plateau week or something. Will have to shrug it off and see what next week brings.

Open to tips or Ideas if anyone has any.

Beat my goal by a half a pound.  My clothes are starting to hang off me, time to get rid of the bigger sizes.  I packed up most of them to give away so I can never get back into them.

I did not meet my goal of learning to use my gears properly to better manage the hills.  I've been busy concentrating on other aspects of my fitness.  

Goal for June is 186.  We have 5 weigh-ins for June so I'll be able to hit that with consistent work.  My birthday is July 13th and it will be very nice to weigh a lot less for this birthday.

I ate badly a few days I'm having an issue balancing the amount of calories I burn on the weekends with what I eat. I got in 75 miles on the bike and ran 6 miles this weekend and then made poor choices to refuel with.

Techdiver....I don't know if you have it in you to try this, but fast on Friday or at most have a couple protein drinks. Create a BIG calorie deficit and then Sat go back to normal.
