Brats, boiled in beer and onions, then grilled. I hard pressed to find a better summer food... BTW, the onions afterwards are heaven. I can just eat them right out of the pot. |

I was this close into getting into mine for the first time this year. It's still a bit chilly. Had I chosen to use my solar heater, I'm sure it would be perfect right now. BTW, if you ever think you want a pool, don't... Unless you just LOVE parting with lots of money and of course, love pools. This. I'm in ~$400 this year and still have slightly cloudy and cold water. Close though. |

TAN gets complained about all the time,
WTF? Why the hell would people complain about TAN? Don't like it, don't click on it. This really bugs me. It's not like anyone has to come in here. Sometimes I don't like it in here so I leave. I don't whine and complain like some punky snot nosed brat. |

Unless you just LOVE parting with lots of money and of course, love pools. About the same BUT, I finally got my pool perfect... I needed 250 in filters yet AGAIN. I also need to change out the manafold inside of it. It was crushed. Once I made those changes, plus hundreds in chemicals, it's better than it has been in a couple years. It looks inviting. Considering that I probably, at BEST, get in it once a week during the summer, it costs me about 50 bucks per swim for the year... ouch. |

Jack the bar tender used to take good care of us and you are spot on about the strong drinks. However, they opened a new happy note. just can't bring myself to go there though, feels too much like cheating. Ah, many blury memories of that place. |

I'll balance the pH, add stabilizer and flauculent tonight. Gotta watch the clarifier with cartridge filters as it makes more of an oily scum ball (like Tony only smaller) which clogs the filter pores. OK w/ sand filters though b/c backwashing removes them. |

Wifey said "let's get a pool some time in the future." I laughed. I spent the majority of my teen years maintaining our pool, even in winter (dad didn't believe in a pool cover for some reason), so I won't be making that mistake again. |

That TAN goes 85 pages only is at the request of Marma... because the long threads cause a massive strain on the servers.
TAN gets complained about all the time, and so far Marma has continued to allow it to remain. But if we fail to do as he asks, thereby creating undue load on the servers, TAN (or other threads like it) will cease to exist. The rules of TAN are simple...
NO LOL! NO pics. No talking about other people in other threads or elsewhere on BT... and end it at or about page 85.
too many FNGs these days. this should be posted on page 1 of new TANs.... maybe that might help?? don't know if that would help... it seems we got us some rabble rousers who revel in rule breaking... dang ole whippersnappers. whatcha gonna do with em..............? |

I am well versed at pools now, after countless battles with that continueing science project/petre dish what I call a pool. Ha! I came back from a two week vacation and left the pool cover on the pool during 100 degree weather and low on chemicals. When we got back, looked and I literally caught my breath/heart skipped a beat. It was SO green. As green a grass and you couldn't see 12" into the water. I was able to get a big bottle of green alge killer, put the whole thing in, and it was gone in 24 hours. THEN needed the clarifier to get the cloudyness gone. I think that's what wasted my manafold. Filters were clogged and pressure built up to crush it. |

I prefer the bike over the trainer, but I guess not more than a free afternoon. |

I'm just ploughing throug some stupid book I bought 10 years a go or longer when I had the same idea to learn... I got the guitar when an old ex GF left it after leaving me and our house... Which is fine, it was over... I "forgot" to tell her is was in the garage when I found it a year later. BTW, is there a "girl" sized guitar? I don't think it is, but my fingers feel fat.
