mdfahy - 2010-09-16 8:35 PM Anyone have a suggestion for a nice place to stay?

IF cost is not an issue, the Hyatt is by far the nicest place to stay in the area.

Are we going to try and do a BT get together on Friday?

Want to exchange cell phone numbers PM me.

We arrive Thursday. I hope to swim and then do about hour bike Friday morning.  Anyone interested in short swim Friday?

What's everyone going to be wearing? Bike? It is easier to recognize each other.

Me Red Ordu with Zipp 404s with wheel cover..not sure what I'm wearing yet probably white tri top and black tri shorts with hot pink stitching.

Easier to post a photo...

SWEET!  My plan to aqua-jog the entire 2.4 miles will really happen!
With a slightly different course but very close by, when I did EagleMan in '07, you could wade to the starting line, but how deep it was after that I have no idea...

I can NOT believe it's 4 1/2 days away!  Unbelievable.  I am antsy.

Anybody know anything about the swim? High tide is 1.5 hours before race start. I'm not sure what that means for current.

Do you swim with buoys to right or left?

How 'bout these nice weather forecasts?  They look amazing!
I will not be attending the dinner.  One, I'm gluten-free, and two, the fam is here in Delaware.
I can't believe it's already Thursday!
I wonder if our special needs bags will be in the shade or not...I've got some mini-snickers that I want to freeze ahead of time and chow down on at some point...likelihood they don't melt all over the place? probably .005%.

I am hoping they have those fancy shoelace things at the pre-race thing...that would be cool to not have to sit and tie my shoes during the race.

Current water temp 74; toying with the idea of going wetsuit-free if it is that warm and there are no jellies.  Anyone else thinking the same?

I biked and swam today on the course.

Bike one direction I was 5 mph faster than other direction. I swam with just my DeSoto bottoms on as it was hot and I was sticky...water was lovely. Navigation is bit tricky as there is current and waves that aren't the same. I swim in flat ponds with usually no current or waves.

Forecast for tomorrow is interesting..high of 85 with winds of 25mph that will decrease through the day, possible showers as a front moved in.

Swag is awesome and best ever for me at any tri in 7 years of racing.

Gatorade is G2 not Gatorade Endurance as they told me in email.

I'm in sort of pissy mood....logistics, traffic and other stuff has made last couple days very frustrating. I hope tomorrow goes better.

Have a great race everyone!

I'm racer #531.
