Well, I wanted to do tonight's workout in honor of Christine but unfortunately I was in a car accident and couldn't do the workout.  I'm running a 5k race on Sunday and will think of her then for sure!  Thanks to those of you who have shared personal stories of Christine, I can tell she really touched all who knew her.

I didn't even know who Christine was until yesterday, but I put in my 5K tonight.  I've only been running for about 2 months, and I thought a lot about her when I was running.  I ran a long (for me) uphill towards the end and then a final downhill.  I gave it all I had that last mile, pushed hard, thinking about her and feeling grateful to be able to do this.

Still can't run, but walked 2 miles tonight for Christine.  It was my longest walk since breaking my leg.  Not a cloud in the hot north Texas sky so I know she had a great view.

No run - thunderstorms and raining all evening/night. Instead, we (Sue, Jeff and I) had pizza and beer and toasted Christine. I drank her beer for her; she would have wanted it that way.

She was a beaut, a real gem of a human being. How lucky am I that we crossed paths? Very.

I remember meeting Christine when I came to Florida for a visit.  Swimming at the beach then burgers...I met a great group of people that day and I will NEVER forget Lucy.

I didn't know Christine, but after reading about her on this board she sounded like a wonderful human being.  I ran 5k last night which was a perfect night for running in the Chicago suburbs. From what I gathered from the posts here is that Christine was a carefree, free spirited person, who didn't care about how fast someone could run.  She seemed to love running, biking, etc. for there own intrinsic value.  So I did the run how I perceived Christine would have wanted it....no heart monitor, not watch, nothing but some shoes and shorts.  Here's to you Christine and may your spirit live within all of us.

Christine's story touched me deeply. I was just a lurker on BT when she became ill and died..........but still remember the emotionally charged vibe that was on this site at the time. She was obviously a very special woman, and well loved by all that knew her.

I am not able to run for the foreseeable future.......so instead I rode 55 kms in her honour.
When I moan and groan about my injury that is preventing me from running , I take a moment and STOP. Then I think about how terribly lucky I am to have my good health. Gimpy knee or not...........

Cheers Christine!!

I ran 5 miles for Christine today.  For some reason all the bright pink and deep purple crepe myrtle trees inspired me to keep running for her.

Ran the Donor Dash today with Christine in mind and PR'd by over a minute.  But, like Christine, that sub 30 minute 5k is still eluding me.  And I'm drinking a Corona now thinking of her some more.  Cheers Christine!
