I want an aero helmet, however I do not like the long tear drop. I had the superleggra, but returned it because I just didn't like how long it was in the back. Any suggestions? I was looking at the Rudy Project Syton, but can't tell if that is just as long. Are there any "road" helmets that would also be aerodynamic efficient (if that makes any sense)?

I have the Syton Open, and the tail does taper back a ways. It looks like an aero helmet... because it is.

Does the longer helmet not work for your position or not work because you don't like how it looks?

Wingspan or Chono and I think Specialized have short tails.

I have the Giro and really like it.  Pretty comfy and I like the ear covers because they block the wind pretty well.  And it comes in magenta and black for us girls.

Another option might be the Lazer Tardiz.

Always loved the name of this helmet...

Anybody use the Uvex Aero Helmet?  Competitive Cycle has a great deal on them now?

Hard to pass up for $89 if its any good.

I don't think that the RP Syton has that long of a tale. Not nearly as long as some of the Alien looking ones. Rudy has some great pricing now on the Syton Supercomp ($112 at e-rudy). I've been considering the new Wingspan.

Just got the new Wingspan in the mail today.

It looks great, is very adjustable, and *supposedly* fits a wide range of positions well.
We'll see.

I have Giro aero helmet and used to have a Rudy Project Syton before I sold it to a fellow BTer.

The Syton is fairly short and normal looking. My kids called it the Hedgehog helmet (from apparently the video game).

The Giro helmet has a very long tail and ear covers. It's cool on race day (maybe), but it's hell of dorky otherwise.
