@ Gaaarrry....

I had Gastric Bypass, where there is no placement of a band of any sort in me. Here is what the Roux-en-Y (RNY) Gastric Bypass looks like:

So before surgery my stomach could hold 4 liters of content, as of now, my new pouch is still smaller than a raquetball, so in order for me to get in my calories, I have to eat all day long... It is a challenge, but I get it done...

That's great... put the vid on my Facebook page for my friends to see.  Who knows maybe it will inspire someone I haven't been able to.  Bit of a weight loss story with me as well...  was about 255lbs, down to around 170lbs. now.  Nothing like yours, but I credit triathlon as part of giving me a meaning to working out, changing the way I eat and live.  I've rediscovered myself and I'm having a great time.  Congrats!!!

Thanks for posting Dan! I too had GB surgery two yrs ago. I've lost 125 lbs & will be running my first sprint tri in a week & 1/2. It's such a wonderful thing to have your life back after having lost so much to obesity. And it is absolutely amazing to realize that real health is possible. Hopefully your story will give someone else the courage & encouragement they need to move forward. Thank you for sharing!

I like that, is that your own quote?  But, great and inspirational achievement.  I'm at work right now loading baggage into planes and dreading my run later, yet as I watch your video I'm feeling more motivated.  I'm definitely going to show this to some of my family....thanks a lot for sharing!

What an amazing story!!  Thank you for sharing.  I, in turn, shared this with a friend who also had gastric bypass a few years ago and just yesterday signed up for a 5k training program with a local running store.  She is sure to be inspired, as was I.
