Team Yuengling members only voting please....added a selection for those that just want to see, and if one isn't on here that you'd like to add, please by all means add it.  Voting open until end Friday 3:00pm.  I'll break a tie if necessary Friday afternoon.

Also, I noticed that several Team Yuengling member's pledges didn't get captured on the spreadsheet.  Please give where and what you can.  BonBon and I were/are in for $20 apiece win or lose.

Congrats to all the other teams and members.  I count at least 94 participants.  Hope those injured heal up fast, and everyone comes back for more August fun.

Just another thought: Since BonBon and the attorney are both doing the Angels Race in Winston-Salem, what about that charity?

How about The Human Fund?  Just kidding . . . I wonder if each Team Member could give to a charity of our choice, and just make individual contributions based on our personal causes?  Or is the intent to give "as a group?"

Lynda, GRVFrog, and I are riding in the Tour de Goodwill this month. We are raising money to help people with disabilities and other barriers find independence through employment.

It is this month and there are BTers involved for a good cause, so I believe it is a worthy cause.

For what it's worth...I've got a cancer survivor in the family - my son. Had leukemia at 2, now hes cured...no issues.

So I'm a big advocate of cancer cure or cancer survivorship.  St. Judes, the V Foundation, and LAF would be my top 3 choices.  Since I already contribute big money to LAF, live by some of Jimmy V's words, I voted for St. Judes.

Christian's mom passed away from lymphoma in 1997 at the age of 53 so we are in for St. Judes--$25 a piece win or lose!

Lara - 2005-08-02 7:41 PM ok.. before i vote..  what is 'the v foundation'?  sorry..  i'm kind of lost in the sea of charities these days...

Just FYI, the former basketball coach of NC State Univ. was Jim Valvano, who died of cancer.  The foundation started in his name is called the V Foundation for Cancer Research because he was known as "Jimmy V." http://www.jimmyv.org/

So, Team Yuengling, what is the consensus? Would like to make an announcement on how 80+ folks can make good on their pledges.

The voting is complete.   The target charity for July's BT Tri Challenge is:

St. Judes Children's Research Hospital

From Motivated's (Karl's) blog:  My ultimate goal for this race season is to finish IMFL in 13 hours.  That is quite a lofty goal.  I will be very happy to simply finish, but if I stretch myself, I think I could actually do it within the 13 hours.  But, I do need your help.  I am also racing for a cause and would greatly appreciate every little bit of support.  Please see my web page to learn how your contribution to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital will not only help a child, but will also help me to build meaning into this journey.

Click on the link below for more information.  Thank you.

Ok, folks, time to make good on your pledges. I estimate over 80 BTers will be making their donations; if everyone donated $10 the total would exceed $800. If the average pledge were $20, the total would exceed $1600. Since not everyone gave me their pledge amount, I can't tell you what the total amount should be.

What a fantastic contribution BTers will make!

As tech-oriented as I am, I still don't like the internet-credit card thing. Is there a mailing adress to which I can mail my donation?

First of all, I want to sincerely thank you for your contribution to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.  I have been through that hospital many, many times.  I was there as a contractor with the hospital, never as a patient or parent of one, thankfully.  It is an amazing institution serving a very challenging and worthwhile cause.  They have dramatically improved the survivorship on many cancers that were once considered a certain death.  Thank you.

You can donate directly to St. Judes on the my St. Jude Heroes webpage using the link below.  You need to make sure your browser accepts or at least prompts you to accept first and third party cookies for this site in order for it to work properly.  Its the third party cookie that allows processing of your credit card transaction:

If you wish to mail a check, make the check out to:  "St. Jude Heroes".  In the memo field, please place my name, "Karl Kiss IMFL".  You can send it to me at 5336 Weatherwood Trace, Marietta, GA 30068.  I will forward these onto St. Judes.

Thank you again for your support of this very worthy cause.
