When you have 32 spoke wheels and still manage to break 3 of them in as many weeks?

(I'm getting the whole rear wheel respoked, I think I rode on a broken spoken for a few hundred miles last season, so that probably didn't help).

I actually got it at Swimoutlet because they carry XXL.  I put it on and my wife could not control her laughter.!

This happens to me on EVERY ride!

There are 6 bridges (Florida hills) on our group ride, I average about 15 mph on the way up and 28+ on the way down.

No matter how many times those TV 'fashion experts' tell you that black is a slimming colour, when you try you tri suit / wetsuit on you just can't see it :-)

So true.  I bought my first tri suit.  A nice XXL black LG one-piece.  My wife caught me trying it on and couldn't control her laughter...  

...When you go to the LBS and ask to get a stronger wheel build and they suggest a tandum hub to start

...When you can't even get a 2XL wetsuit over your calf...I guess my speedo will have to do 

That's kind of my worry too. I know they are the best tool for the job but I'm worried about what other people think I look like. I know I shouldn't care but hey, I'm human!

My wife laughs when she sees me in my bib shorts. She thinks I look like a 70's wrestler.

That is what she is there for.  To laugh at you and keep you humble.  But don't let that stop you.  Part of your job is to keep her entertained.

You know your a Clydesdale when ... you have your seat post all the way up, and still look like you are riding with the clowns (especially in your Tri Suit).

You know you're an athena/clyde when your kids ask you..  "mommy where are the shorts that go over your underwear..."  (underwear being tri shorts..)

But I secretly believe that all the guys out with Little Man's disease buy all the XX and XXXL stuff because they don't want to admit they are medium's. I would kill to wear a medium shirt and 36" pants again!

When your synthetic cycle jersey melts from the friction with the air when riding downhill.
