Hello Marylanders!  Just wanted to check in and see who else is doing the Assateague Assault triathlon next weekend.  I'll be coming down from Michigan! (Don't worry, I'm a Maryland native :) )  My parents always vacation down there, and this year the race is while they will be there, so I figured I might as well come and race!

Looking forward to seeing you there!

i will be there. 

did black bear sprint last weekend, so this is going to be just about the opposite as far as the bike goes.  i am expecting much faster time.

also got a new sleeveless suit that has me pretty excited.

I'll be there for Saturday's metric century and 1 mile ocean swim.  I believe I am coming back home for a club run on Sunday.  I'm looking for water temps, haven't found anything yet.

I'm going to OC to visit my in-laws and heard about this OC fitness weekend thingy going on... sounds cool.  Does anyone know if they do "day-of" registration for any of these events?  I'm bringing my bike, wetsuit, and running gear for training anyway, so it might be cool to jump in one of these events.

The swim info says 'We are not accepting “day of registration” for this event.'  Though you'd think they would because only 42 people are showing as signed up.  I would say don't show up unfortunately.

The metric century DOES say 'We will accept “DAY OF” registrations at the starting area.'

I will be there.... heading out with the family tomorrow morning - staying in OC.

 

This was my first tri I ever did, and I really liked it. Nice flat course, Ocean Swim (I like that) - I am excited.... hoping to beat my last years time.

did it last year, doing it tomorrow. I haven't done a ton of sprints but this was the most fun by far.

guaranteed with the current ocean swim, fast flat bike course, and lots of cheering campers on the run.

and when your done you can go for a long walk on the beach..
