Subject: Expired powdered drinks and gels: still OK?I guess my subject is the main question. I have some expired powder recovery drinks (PowerBar Recovery and another one that escapes me right now ), and I've still been using them after hot runs or long rides. There's no danger in that, is there? I feel like it's drinking expired Coke: not as tasty, but still "mostly" effective. I don't feel like it's eating expired meats where you're taking a bigger chance.
Anyone have any thoughts (or data ) on consuming expired sports nutrition? If I'm just losing a little of the effectiveness, I'm OK with that. If I'm slowly rotting my colon, I might stop.  |
