Goooood Monday morning!!!

5:00am:  1:20/23.50 mile ride
6:25am:  15 minute run

Today:  taking both my daughters (7 & 12) school shopping today...it's going to be a marathon day for sure.  My 12 year old is entering middle school...the upside is she is going to my school so I'm well versed on the dress code.  The downside (?!) is she'll be in my English class and hubby's science class.  Yikes...could be a bumpy ride!!!

Have a great day!

Swim workout this morning. Intervals & drills. Thats it for me today. Trying to recover from a 3,000 meter open water swim and 17 miles of running over the weekend.

Enjoy your day!

Early 7-miler while I prep for a Labor Day w/e half-mary. As intentional as we have been at planning our summer vacation, we still have: amusement park, wedding, state fair, concert, and round of miniature golf before school starts in 2 weeks!

What a difference a (Rest) day makes!  After an ugly 6 miles on Saturday I knew that my legs were fried.  Went out this morning and felt so much better did a quick (For me) 5k and then continued for a couple more miles and did a fairly fast (Relatively speaking) 5 miles overall.  Had to quit early as we are preparing for 3 Grandkids ages 6, 8 and 10 to arrive tonight.  So the rest of the week will be beach, pool and play.

Mornin'

Another SRD.

I'm getting back on a weight-loss regimen, fixin' to get back down to 215 (from 240--yikes!).  I'm thinking that weight loss would help with my "dead legs", and it sure couldn't hurt my breathing.  I'm writing down everything I eat (and drink, if it has any calories).  I'm also going to cut back to one beer/day (max), VERY limited sweets (if any), LOTS of water, more fresh fruit/veggies, smaller portions and no late night snacking (my #1 downfall).  It will be harder to lose this week, while I'm on break, but it's a good start.

Hydrate plenty and stay safe, everyone!

If the storms hold off, an OWS with the tri club, around 2.4 miles.  A nice break for the legs after my first century ride yesterday!  Happy training all!

My summer vacation is officially over. :-( I'm due at work today for some face time. Then I'll swim at noon; work a little; then run to the LBS to get clipless pedals! I am so excited; I dreamed about getting the pedals and shoes all night.

Ran 2 easy miles this morning. Second tri is this Sunday.

I gained 5 pounds while in San Antonio. Even though I biked 75 miles while I was there, I ate waaay too many flour tortillas and Whataburgers. I even splurged one night and had a full-sugar A&W root beer. I haven't had any soda, let alone sugared in over six months! :-( So it's back to counting calories for me.

2:35 swim

It's getting a lot easier to bang out these long swims. Really didn't seem long at all today.

Ran 7 miles this morning.  3000 yards in the pool this afternoon.  I was on vacation last week and had every intention of running most days- only ran once and ate terrible! (gained 3 lbs.)  This week is about DISCIPLINE.

Well, you have a lot more awareness and discipline than I do, oviously.  5 lbs.?  I'm guessing it should be a problem for you.

I just weighed myself here at work.  (I work in a hospital, and there are scales everywhere.)  243.7.  Yikes!!  That's the most I've weighed in about 2 1/2 years.  That's up from my Weight Watchers goal weight of 217 by 26.7 lbs.  I kinow/knew better.  I'm tempted to be bummed/ discouraged, but that would be counter-productive.  I'm going to attack the process like I did <3 years ago when I weighed 310 lbs. and lost >90 lbs.  My weight gain stops, and is being reversed, NOW!

3.5 miles of running in the neighborhood this morning. Warm & humid, but at least I wasn't cooking under the Fl sun. Nor am I having to deal with the 100's that some of you are seeing. OUCH!

Enjoy the week.

Raced yesterday so just wanted to stretch out. 96 degrees, ran 2 very slow miles and the skies opened up! I guess today is supposed to be a rest day.

1 hour on the trainer this morning and then a 3 mile run.  My poor legs had the white flag out this morning when I woke up, but I threw it away and trained anyway.

Storms on and off all day...had goggles and swim cap on when storm blew through. Did get a nice cross ride in on island paths including tough section and arrived back at cabin as it started to rain again.
