Been training all summe for Cycle to the Sun.

www.cycletothesun.net

Only problem is they are forcasting steady winds of 27 mph with gusts to 51 mph.  And just our luck it will be a head/cross wind the whole way since it's a point to point course...not a loop.

Sounds like you guys have some major events this weekend. Good luck and may the tailwind be with you ; )  I am racing a local sprint in lieu of going to Nationals.  Trying not to be bummed about it. My training partner backed out of going due to a business trip and the boyfriend couldn't have been much less enthusiastic about making the trip to Vermont.  I just lost my desire to go.  After a short period of bumdom, I got over it and feel like training is back on track.

AG Nationals in Burlington this Saturday. The only problem is that my body has determined that this is the one time of the year that I get sick. Hoping that DayQuil and lots of rest will help out.

Me! Heart and Sole Half Marathon in Boulder CO.  It also happens to be the USATF State Half Marathon Championship so should be interesting to see who shows up.  Of course they'll finish long before me so I'll have to do any admiring before the race.

Racing a sprint tri.  I signed up for the sprint distance a while back and then signed up for a marathon and have been training on the run mostly for the mary so we shall see how my pace is on this much shorter distance. Thinking now I should have done the oly.

Good Luck and I hope you feel better! I will be there as well.

I have decided that tapering is a necessary evil.

If a 5k counts then yes.  kick off for the local united fund annual fund drive--starts in front of my house--how convenient is that!

Timberman 70.3 also.  Would have liked to do the AG Nationals, but Timberman was an A race well before I qualified.
