Ironman Florida 2006 (Page 2)

I don't think I can qualify for an IM slot- I'm not that good yet.  So I am going to get my slot through the normal registration process.  I am not sure of the details for qualifying for a spot.  All I know is I have to register this Sunday morning and cough up a hunk of money.  And then train like crazy

Some races (Gulf Coast Half is one) have a certain number of slots for IM races. Last year they had 30 IMUSA , 30 IMWISC, and 50 IMFL slots that were first come first served at the awards. I had a friend that got there at 4:30pm and registration wasn't until 6pm to get his slot for IMWISC and yes you do have to pay for the race. At other races they may use a qualification system, I am not sure about that. You can check the race's website to see for sure.

4 more days until registration!  I'm getting nervous thinking about it!  Ok- I'm a little excited too!

My registration went through at 7:06 AM PST! Question though, I haven't received an email confirmation yet--is this normal?!

IM florida is full....filled in 3 hours.

Congrats!  I can't belive how fast it filled it!  I logged on right at 10am and registered.  I felt like a big nerd sitting at the computer waiting for it to be 10am but I'm glad I did!
