Florida tri's - alligators?

New user 27 |  Subject: Florida tri's - alligators?I'm signed up for the WDW tri next year in Orlando. I'm talking to my friend about it when she says to me "Hope u don't get attacked by an alligator.." Now the thought of friggin' alligators consumes my mind. Please someone tell me that they've done this tri b4 and the water is alligator free  |

All the lake swims I have done have been in lakes that haven't had confirmed alligator sightings in years. I can't speak for all the tris in FL. Gator attacks are rare in general. Just make sure your not number one or dead last (ha ha). |

Sign up already? when is this?? I'd be more worried about the weeds. The lake I swam in there had a really squishy yucky bottom and had weeds and whatnot in places. yuck. |
