Yesterday, she left us in the evening. She is now at peace.

As I train with Teams in Training and raise money for the cancer research cause...I will always have her as my motivation. She fought very hard to be with us until the very end, and her entire family was at her bedside as she took her last breath. She was a beautiful and strong woman. I can only aspire to be as wonderful and caring as she was.

I too am sorry for your loss. Lost my mother-in-law 13 years ago to liver cancer and I still miss her. Both my Mom and Dad had cancer and survived, so I know about the ups and downs of the disease. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

PhoenixRises,

You have my deepest condolences. I too am training with the team in training program. My event is Memphis in May. May our efforts raise the funds to help researchers find a cure!

I am so sorry for your loss. I'll be thinking of you and your family today -and reflecting on the gift that your grandmother's life was to you. We should all be so lucky as to have people say that about us after we die!

Thinking healing, peaceful thoughts...

Ah, Phoenix--it's good to know that the suffering is over for your grandmother. I'm thinking of you and your family this morning, and of your great monniker.

Peace to you and your family as you share all your great memories and your tears with one another.
