Okay, so I'm registered for this thing.

Race is Sunday, so I'm probably going to see if I can save a vacation day ( or half of one )
and come down Friday night/Saturday morning, and head back to Chicago on Monday.

Anyone still interested in sharing a room?  I promise I don't snore.

I'm in for the 1/2 as of yesterday. If I can find Trix and Rick in the sea of people, something tells me we'll end up pushing a good pace.

I'm more stoked about the open water swim at noon on Saturday than the race on Sunday! It's been 3months since I've seen a body of water not frozen solid.

Shorts and sandals here I come.

LOL...I'm the same way.  I can't wait to swim just be able to say I did it in February!

If anyone staying at the Hyatt could give me a ride to dinner Sat night I'd appreciate it. I'll be in town without a car.

I am staying there, but do not have a car either.  I was planning on grabbing a cab.  I am sure we can meet (and maybe others) and share a cab ride.

Can anyone down in Tampa give me any info on the course? Everytime I try to open the course map I get an error message.

The first half is kinda twisty, going thru Davis Islands and then downtown Tampa.  But after that it's a long run down Bayshore and then all the way back up to the finish.  It starts near the convention center at Brorein and Florida if you wanna mapquest the exact location.  I thought that the men and women had different start points (they did last year) but I guess they did away with that cuz it's not on the website anymore.   Hope that was some help.

Sue, let me know if you want it.  The map is an Adobe acrobat file and I have it on the computer.  I could email it to you, it's about 1.4 mb.
