Pre-race routine:

The usual bathroom break. Drink 1/2 cup of coffee.
Event warmup:

Slow jog 5 minutes. Stretch. Run 10 minutes with about 5 50 yard pick ups.

Comments:

Great run. Missed the first mile marker but was at 15:30 at mile 2 for 7:45 min pace. With about 3/4 mile to go 2 guys passed me who might have been in my age group so I sped up to keep pace. I passed them both in the last stretch. The three of us were running close next to each other when some asshole ran between 2 of us. I had to break stride and almost stop otherwise one of us would have tripped. This pissed me off enough to speed up for the last 1/10. I should have tripped him!

I wanted to break 24:00 and beat last week's time of 24:09 but just missed. Still, it was a great race for me.
What would you do differently?:

Trip the guy who cut me off!!

Warm down:

Walk around transition area. Ate a couple of pancakes, drank a Jamba juice and bs'ed with other runners.

Event comments:

Great race. Started on time, pancakes afterwards.
