Comments: Excellent despite the rain. What would you do differently?: Maintain pace and not slow down after 25K. Could have finished in the 4:30 range. ![]() Post race

Woke at 3:30 am. Felt good. Ate 1/2 cup of oatmeal, cup of coffee, and 16 oz cytomax. 80-mile drive to the start. Stopped at McDonalds on the way, got a sausage mcmuffin and a small coke, which was the first time I've ever eaten any fast food before a race. Thanks Hal Higdon! I think the extra calories helped.
Slight stretching, slow jog for a few minutes. With the rain I was afraid of starting the race with wet feet so I didn't do too much.
