Run
Comments: My goal was to run the whole thing. Given my lack of running this winter, I figured I'd set the bar low. Secondary goal was to come in below 11 minute miles. Both goals accomplished! 10:53, 10:44, and 10:05. (*Note: these lap times are according to my Garmin; which was about 5 seconds off from my timing chip.) What would you do differently?: Start pushing it a bit earlier; maybe at the turnaround. Take more advil for the IT band. Post race
Warm down: Again, pretty lame. I didn't even stretch. Doh. What limited your ability to perform faster: IT band and my general slowness. Same story, different day. Event comments: Nice event and an absolutely gorgeous day! I was pleased with my run, and it's always great to hang out with the BT gang. We went out for burgers and malts afterward too. YUM. Drove to Autumn's house so we could carpool from there. We were plenty early for the race, so we scored a great parking spot, and the walked around a bit looking for the other BT'ers. We found Kris and her kids, and Rodger and his co-worker.
Uh... trotting from the sidewalk to the start area. Very lame. :)
