I posted this in the Subaru thread, but I thought some people might miss it.

This is up-to-date as of today for the MSC series (with the swap of Bala and Cobourg).  The Subaru series is a bit odd, as they currently are showing GL2 on a Monday, and haven't updated their race-detail pages with 2012 dates yet.

It will always be at this address, even as I update it:

Much appreciated, this is a great resource.

John Salt might want to put it on their site.

Your map is of southern ontario tris, not 'most Ontario tris'. You're missing all of eastern ontario.

Sorry, couldn't see the somersault icons on the map they are so small.

Good point, the Somersault ones really blend in with city names, especially as you zoom.  I'll see what I can do about that.  Annoyingly, things look so much better in Google Earth and then look awful once put on google maps.

Edit: Changed the icon for Somersault, seems to have improved things.

And as a reminder to myself, I eventually want to get:
  • Tri-and-run sports quinte tri
  • Chemong Lake tri
  • Runner's life tri and duathlons (ptbo)

None of them have their 2012 dates up yet.

Anyone know any other annual tris?  I wouldn't mind getting more events on the map, especially in the quinte area.

Also (for North Eastern Ontario)

Barry's Bay Triathlon (July 1st, 2012)

North Bay triathlon (no date as far as I can tell yet)

Sundridge triathlon (no date I can find yet either - usually August)

Deep River did have a triathlon - not sure if it still does or not...

Great map! Thanks for creating it.

Alright, I added all the indie tris, and marked the ones without a 2012 date as "2012 date unknown".  It's probably more useful for folks to know they exist so they can check later, even if I never update the map again.

Thanks very much for this! Everything looks great on the map.

I found out about another Tri in Cornwall that you might want to add:

www.cornwalltriathlon.com

I can't thank you enough for putting this together, it makes it much easier to communicate with others regarding which Tri to do when they are all in one place!

So while searching for details for the bluewater triathlon, I found a link on google for Trimapper.com.

And just like that, I and my map are obsolete (although their stuff is all for 2011 dates right now, I think).

Edit: And they're missing a couple.

I also hoping that Mine over Matter is run again in 2012 and could go on the list as a possible.  Last two years it was the last Sunday in August

Tri is alive and well in Ontario.

I was a little shocked a couple of years ago when I came out of my little corner of Ontario and redid some of my old favourites from the Suburu series to find that the level of competition had jumped so much. My 2009 visit to Muskoka was the real eye opener. Bigger field and really good. Love to see the increase in participation and speed. The roots are deep.

Mine over Matter dates are now up, and they are adding a new off-road tri race:

http://www.elementracing.ca/Home/

If you MTB at all, definitely a race to check out.  The run on the Mini was short last year, but I found it to be a great race.

I added the new Mine over matter, updated dates for both mine over matters, changed Muskoka's title, added Cornwall and Bulldog (western Lake Erie). Enjoy. I'm pleased to learn about all these independent triathlons I never would have heard about before.

And thanks to everyone for suggesting new tris and keeping me abreast of date changes.

St. Joesph's Island Triathlon has a confirmed 2012 date:  Sat. August 18th to update your map.

What would be the chances of getting the admin to make this thread...or this link to the map a "sticky" on the forum for future access?
