Hate to say this, but your wife's position needs help.  But you seem like someone who would know this.  So perhaps she just rides for fun and not for speed?

The angle of the picture actually makes it look way worse than it is.  We do plan on adjusting it some over the winter though to get her lower than she is.

Don't get too jealous... come July it's miserable...

I love my Sat. morning rides on LBK & Ringling, but when its late or "cold" or raining, this is where I go.

Since 2005 I've had my treadmill and trainer in the garage, but today I just finished moving everything inside to my new workout room!

For the last 17 years it was my youngest daughter's room, but as the older girls move off to college she upgraded to a bigger bedroom and I upgraded from the garage.  No more 35 degree trainer rides or treadmill runs for me.  Plus it better simulates race day heat; here near Seattle it's hard to train for the weather in places I like to race - Arizona, say.

I still have wall decorations to do, but it's functional.  I have a 32" flatscreen that I can move from in front of the trainer to up on the bookshelf in front of the treadmill.  This is a major improvement over the garage, where the TV was always a little too low for the treadmill yet a little too high for the trainer.  I also have a window for natural light - another major improvement.

It's nice for those 4+ hour indoor sessions.

BTW I have converted from someone who had a season where I almost NEVER trained bike or run indoors as I would just tough it out at 5am regardless of weather.... to someone who trains exclusively indoors from Nov-end of March.

Guess I'm getting old and weak lol.

Nah, just old.  Wink  I still 'tough it out', but I've got a lot less to tough out than you do.  (20 degrees is about as bad as it gets here and we often get 50-60 degree 'recovery weeks' from winter.)

Here is my wife and my workout cave.  Not really a cave as its in a bedroom with windows that open outside to let in the cold.

The view from the doorway

Our bikes - this is where most of the action happens

The treadmill that gets more use by the dogs than us.  We did a 2 hour trainer session on Saturday and each of the Australian Shepherds did an hour each on the TM.  The extension cord is to move it to another breaker in the house because it kept overloading with the treadmill, TV, fans and computer and a few other appliances in another room.....

What I stare at when riding.

I'm looking at getting a new trainer, and am looking at the two you have in the photo. Which do you like more?

If you forced me to pick, I would pick the Kurt Kinetic but not for any particular reason that I can say.  They both work really well.
