you guys are just about split on game vs. marathon opinions! i am going to do the marathon. houston is the marathon that first inspired me to start distance running in the first place. it goes through my neighborhood, and i've been watching every january since i was little.

baltimore would be fun, but if they lost in poor fashion, i'd be pretty upset i missed the marathon to watch a blow out. i also learned that if they wind up beating the ravens and playing the following weekend, i'd likely have the opportunity to go to that game, too.

thanks for ya'lls opinions!

GO TEXANS!

Good luck. I hope the Cowboys win!

I think you've made a good decision. Run your marathon and then sit back with a drink in your hand and watch the game. That sounds like a great day. It'll be even better for you if Houston wins and you get to go next week.

Anyway, it's going to be cold with a chance of snow in Baltimore this weekend.

The guy from the Baltimore area is telling you not to come.  Sounds like he's trying to rig the crowd to me...

Run your race. Heck, with the money you save on not going to the game you probably can buy a bigger tv and watch the game at home.

screwed up my nutrition a little, and didn't hit my goal time, but at the end of the day i am glad i did the marathon. it was really cool to do a marathon that ran through the parts of houston where i grew up.

sad the texans lost. it was a great season, but i just can't help but wonder what could have been if our key players would have been healthy. already ready for next season!
