Subject: Question for the bike mechanic folks - P2 wheel placement
I have a new Cervelo P2.  I just swapped out the wheels from the stock wheels to my Ksyrium Elite.  Looks like the tire is rubbing on the seat tube in the spot where it cuts into the frame.  Looking at the wheel it looks to be as round as round can be(although that may not be the case).  Anyway, is the solution to just remove the wheel adjust the little screws in the wheel dropout? I don't want to mess with the chain and shift etc.  I think that is the answer but before I go screwing with everything (pun intended) I wanted to check with the group.

Yes, sounds like you need to adjust the crews in the dropouts

Yes, adjust the screws in the dropouts.  I'm always carefull to count the turns/revolutions or even quater turns to make sure both side are adjusted the same.  You don't want you wheel to be askew at all.

I backed them out about 3 full turns which is much more than I expect but it seemed to do the trick.  anyone know how much clearance I should have? there is more clearance towards the top by the brake but the lower section by the bottom bracket looks much closer.

Too little clearance will mean that any piece of road grime or pebble pulled up by your tire will get caught between the seat tube and tire creating lots of drag and make a nice gauge on the inside of your seat tube. I learned that the hard way.

You can adjust the small screws without messing up your tuning. Like another member said, count the number of turns you make so that your wheel will be straight. Also buy some blue Loctite to keep your screws in place.
