Subject: How Often To Replace Shoes

How often do you guys replace your shoes?

I'm guessing more often than me. Soles are falling off the bottoms of my Mizunos.

When they don't seem to be doing a good enough job. You might want to consider saving up for a new pair soon.

haha yeah. When the rubber is gone, it's time for a new pair. I'm estimating 1000+ miles on those. They were so comfortable I didn't want to switch shoes!

250-300 miles. Yes, that means 3 months or so.

A whole lot cheaper to buy shoes now then it's going to be to buy new knees when I'm 50+

This looks about right to me. When the soles wear through, it's time to start thinking about new shoes.

If you wear through the soles, then you just transition to barefoot at that point.

I recently discovered the equipment tracking feature in the logs here.  Select your shoes from a list to add to your equipment than click on it when you log your run.  It will keep track of how many miles you put on your shoes.

Oooh, thanks for the tip! And here I was drawing ticky marks on a piece of paper. I just got new shoes and I want to treat them right. Only for running, not for running errands!

as others have said 300-400 miles.  I used to go 500 but that was HS and I had no money. Typically you can look at the side of the sole and when you start to see stress wrinkles they are wore out.

I haven't seen the Dizziness in T1 before but I'm new.  Speaking of which, I always get dizzy in T1 but I push through it. Cool
