2 Years ago today I got off the couch!

Today is the 2 year anniversary of my deciding I needed to do someting about my health and got off the couch. Shocked at my weight during a doctors visit, I started a "fitness bootcamp" class at the local YMCA soon after. Thought I was going to die about 2 minutes into an hour class. Also did some cardio & weight training during the week. Discovered the tri thing a couple months later...

Since then I have changed in many ways, --- I've lost 60 pounds, I'm more fit than I have been since I was in high school (25+ years ago), I've inspired others to do the same, I've discovered a passion for training, the thrill of crossing the finish line, I've learned to swim, I've learned to run again, I've learned its OK to wear spandex if you are out exercising , I've discovered BT and the amazing support system which exists here, and I've learned I can do far more than I think I can. Best of all, I feel like I'm healthy, and can go out and run around, play with my kids, and not get winded after 30 seconds, and the confidence that comes with all this is priceless.
