La la la lalala...I can't hear you driving down my street carrying delicious fattening anti-training treats!

Must. Resist. Urge.

I spent a summer right after college driving an ice cream truck. Delicious ice cream sandwiches, Choco-tacos, strawberry and chocolate eclair bars....

This thread title makes me think of two people.  The VH thread with David Lee Roth...and one Eddie Murphy whose stand-up "Delirious" still cracks me up.

I told my kids (yes, I LIED to them) that when the ice cream truck was driving around and the music was on, that meant that he was out of ice cream. I told them that he turned on the music so you would know he was outside and you wouldn't waste your time running outside to try and catch him...They are 9 and 7 and they have never asked for ice cream from the ice cream man!

I'm not saving for college, I'm saving for therapy...they'll need it!

That's ok...my kids are going to be so mad at me when they find out that talking to me while driving isn't actually illegal.  Makes for quiet rides though!

I love the Delirious skit!  One of the best.  Maybe if you actually ran after him for a couple miles the guilt would be a little less!

I thought I was the only one who pulled that stunt.  My 3 yr old is starting to get skeptical since there's a park down the street and she sees kids lined up at the truck, but she hasn't made the total leap yet.

Note to self, in case we ever get foster kids again.

Our local, amazingly good ice cream shop has their own ice cream truck called the Moo Mobile.  It is dangerous. http://www.sweetcowicecream.com/moo-mobile/

Biking 2 weekends ago during 90 degree weather, I was taunted by the light, cheery jingle of an ice cream truck which I had to go by to continue on my route...somehow I resisted.  How, I have no idea.  I do love me some ice cream!

Third person I think of is the pedifile possibly driving around with all the little kids running up to the truck. Sadly it has happened in the Quad Cities more then once. What kind of world is it where you can't even send your kid after the ice cream truck.

My husband has driven an ice cream truck for the past three summers and will probably do so again.  I ride with him one or two days usually; quality time in a hot metal box.  He brings home free ice cream periodically.  Choco tacos...yeah buddy!  Why yes, he is indeed the devil -

I love this! I wish I had told my kids that - now my 7 year old would know better!
