Favorite country music running songs?

I tend towards Bluegrass and don't like much Country. If you want something that'll definitely get your feet moving, try it

My favorite country song for running right now is "For You" by Keith Urban

Even though I'm a metal head, I still have Gretchen Wilson's "Here for the Party" on my running iPod. =)

The best country song is the one not playing.

The Mavericks have some good, up tempo songs.  The Mavericks and Robert Earl Keen are about the only country music I have on my mp3 player.

I like the rebellious group: Toby Keith, Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich, Trace Adkins,Keith Urban, etc.

I once played a country music record backwards... the singer got his wife back, his trailer survived the tornado and his dog was alive.

It would have to be any Johnny Cash and that adorable little girl who made $53 million last year as the largest earning musician... what's her name? She does that darling little "Romeo and Juliet" song. Not exactly made for running, more for knockin' boots in the hay.

Not really a big country fan, most of my iPod is filled will Scotch/Irish Punk Rock or as my wife likes to say, angry guy music. Bands like Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, and the Pouges never seem to disappoint. Throw in some Social Distortion and I'm ready to go for miles!

"I run to you" by LadyA. It was the first song on my playlist for awhile. But I stopped listening to music when I run.

Robert Earl Keen live from Austin. My fav up tempo song from this recording is " Shades of Grey" I could loop that song for an entire workout.

I tent towards rock and metal when running, but I grew up with, and still love, old country music. I love running to Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Ernest Tubb, Charlie Pride, Glenn Campbell, Tom T. Hall and Roger Miller. They all lean more towards story songs and honky-tonkin' songs.
