I know, I know - body glide. But, now that I HAVE the chafing (ouch), what do you all suggest for cures/treatments.

*grumble, grumble* Damn new bra that cost too much and now isn't going to get used anymore.

Diaper rash cream.

I use Desitin.  It usually heals it right up.

I second the Desitin. That stuff works wonders on me when I get chaffed.

I can think of a lot of things to say here, but I'll hold my tongue!

Bandaids. You just have to decide which hurts more: chafing or ripping the bandaids off after your workout.

I typically use baby powder when chaffing occurs... down south.... but I've used Desetin too. That stuff is great.

Desitin was my first thought, too. Lotion sounds like it would sting - and bandaids. EEsh. that'd have to be some big honkin' bandaids since it's on the whole rim of said undergarment.

Good thing was, it was a race, and I didn't even feel it during the race. It was only afterwards.

I used Betadiene and it worked awesome!  It dried it up and healed very quickly.  That was on severe chaffing though- where my skin was bleeding because it was rubbed raw.  It was very painful BTW.

It is the early season thunder thighs that rub together that give me the most trouble... Every once in a while I will throw on the wrong shirt for a long run and not catch the chaffing until it is too late. I don't know about ya'll, but nipple chaffing doesn't heal for weeks on me.

And I have been married for eleven years. Sometimes you just need to take things into your own hands.

I keep a tube of Bourdreaux's in each one of my packs. I think it is the same as diaper cream, but the name makes it easier for guys to use.

(Oh, I was really hesitant to open this thread when I saw there was an image attached...scary possibilities)

Yah, I thought about posting a picture, but I couldn't quite figure out how to do it without grossing anyone out with armpit shot or getting all lewd with nipple shots. So, I opted out.

And for those who don't know...no I'm not kidding.  The stuff works wonders and is advertised in Bicycling, Velo News, etc.

Like I always say, if it's good enough for a cow udder...

Burt's Bees makes a diaper cream that has that very stick-to-itness of of Desitin, but has a nicer smell (it's herbal).
