He's injured and done.  :-(

David Goggins ends his pull-up record quest after hurt wrist.  But all is not lost - thousands raised for  specialops.org

They didn't say how many he got to, but there was no mention of the record being broken.

The dude's da man!

According to the SOWF facebook page, he got to 2588 before tearing a muscle in his wrist.

He is an absolute great man! I urge you to read the book "Lone Survivor". Some of his teammates were featured in that book and it's quite amazing.

He's been doing roughly 8/min and enjoying his 45-50 seconds of rest, which is incredible.

His early numbers have him crushing the 4020 record with a number closer to 11,520! BOOM!

Go get 'em Mr. Goggins!

Yes, a worthy read....but I'm not sure his teammates were the same from the Seal Team 10 mission that is the subject of the book.  No matter.....Goggins is the real deal for sure!

You're right. It was a bit of a reach actually. If I followed correctly, a member of ST10, Michael Murphy served w/ Luttrell (who authored the book) & Goggins based on some of the videos and commentary of Goggins I've seen.

Reading about Murphy & Goggins is just absolutely amazing.

It's really a shame that Mr. Goggins did not complete the challenge, but I believe it's safe to say that he didn't quit because he wanted to. I tip my hat to him!

Congrats Mr. Goggins!

An injury may have suspended David Goggins' bid to break the record for most pull-ups completed in 24 hours (4,020) Friday, but he accomplished a lot during his time in our studio. In addition to raising thousands of dollars for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, he did:

2,588 pull-ups in 566 total sets. That's 4.6 pull-ups per set.

216 sets on the minute before taking his first break longer than 60 seconds at 12:02 p.m.

1,000 pull-ups in 2 hours 48 minutes and 2,000 pull-ups in 3 hours 34 minutes.  (from the Today show website)

Big Kudos for him.   All for a great cause.   I wonder if the pace was too fast?  If that cause the injury to the wrist.

Does anyone know, is he still active Navy/Seal?
