Leegoocrap - 2012-10-27 5:53 PM

A friend of mine in middle school had the AOL (yeah...nice right) screen name "Leegooboo" and I thought "Leegoocrap" would be a great way to make fun of him.

The oddest things stick with you for 15 years

I thought it had to do with desecrating plastic construction pieces

I have no idea what I was thinking it just it sounded and looked cool to do a play off striker which I have been using as a username in different variations for years for email and other accounts. Now I am not so sure.

Much like peby and verga and brucemorgan and others... Mine is my name.

First/middle initials, last name, and 13, which is my lucky number. It's been my all-purpose screen name and e-mail since roughly 1995. :D I'm nothing if not consistent.

Years ago (1996 to be exact) when message boards on intrawebz was still a pretty new concept, I had just gotten a new puppy... a Siberian Husky.  I joined my first message board for drummers shortly after that and just decided to call myself Siberian, after the dog.  It stuck ever since and I've pretty much used that name, or some variation of it, on any message board I've joined since then.

Mc Q - 2012-10-26 9:14 PM I had an uncreative user name when I first joined and then started meeting BT'rs at races and got tired of saying the really stupid name so just changed it to the sound of my last name.  Makes it easy now.

Sounds familiar, but I was such a neophyte to this type of board that my original name was just a user-id to an old system - so that was really hard to use/say at races.

Came up with a loose Latin translation of Seek First  -  Seek First the Kingdom of God; Seek First in the Clyde category (which should be abandoning me next year) etc, so it becomes kind of a training mantra also.

Initial and last name.  Went to US Coast Guard Academy (New London, CT), Class of '78.  Not very original, but easy for me to remember (and I was the only Brooks in class of 175 folks that year).

If you try really hard, you might be able to figure it out Wink

The only other message board I ever signed up for was on the St. Louis Cardinals website where I was "DesertCardFan". I decided not to use that one here and I just wasn't feeling creative. Maybe I should have used "TriInDry".
