Last Minute Cotton Bowl...who ya got?

Should be a really good game, lots of questions to be answered.

1.  Can an Aggie defense that has been above mediocre against run heavy teams be effective against a pass happy Sooner offense?

2.  Can the sooner defense solve the Manziel riddle that has stumped some of the top defenses in the nation?

3.  Can the Aggie offense score enough to keep up with the Sooners?

4.  Can the Sooner offense score enough to keep up with the Aggies?

The Aggies have gone 4-12 in bowl games since 1990.  I picked the Aggies to beat OU, but not with much confidence.  Since there can't be a tie, I have to pull for the Aggies.

You would have to take a shower no matter who you choose.

I'm going to an aggie's house to root for the aggies and Johnny Football.  

I guess I have to pick the Aggies.  

I'm not too disappointed in that pick.  Young team, quickly developing, just had 6 weeks of practice to prepare.  Sounds like Baylor.  Let's see if that's how it ends-up for A&M.

If the Aggies win this game, it'll make Mack Brown nervous as he'll be up against an arch-rival who beat his conference rival and is in a better conference when it comes to recruiting this year.  This could flip the balance of the TX recruiting war...

Texas recruiting war has already started to flip if not done it.  5 decommits this year from Texas so far.  I'm sure more to come.  A couple of them were huge too.  I think 13 is Mack's last year win or lose.

Mack rode Vince Young to the NC, then he had Colt McCoy carry him for a few years.  Now he's just looking kinda old.  But it is a young team according to the local media on them.

We'll see how 13 goes, but I agree that it's likely his last year.

I heard on the radio (no idea if it's true) that UT spends more money per win of any school in college football.  They did win their bowl game this year though.

My response to the young thing: Where exactly are all our seniors and juniors?  DId we not recruit 3 and 4 years ago?  Did we just take a vacation?  They aren't there because we dropped the ball on recruiting and our freshman are better than our seniors.  If there hasn't been a coaching change and your team is "young", that's a good sign someone screwed up.

money, well: We make more than anyone and we spend more than anyone.  Everything's just bigger in Texas.

I hear you. Just relaying what the local media says about them. "young, developing talent" and then other people say "not a good return for the investment." Again, just relaying.

John Football was pretty darn awesome tonight...

Crazy!!  The best play of the game was when he was picked in the 2nd quarter in the end zone....find me another college QB who can see that play going to hell and make that throw (perfect) off his back foot.  There isn't one.  How does a receiver even believe it's coming??

Geez.....how many throws did he make that were dropped?  I'm not blaming him or the receivers....again, no way to anticipate throws like he can make...and then rush for 249??? Holy Hell!!
