I just finished The Underwater Window- based on a BT suggestion and really liked it.  (It's swimming specific.)

I just started reading "Infinite Jest." If you can finish reading that, you can finish anything.

I like all of the above and would also suggest Chrissy Wellingtons book, it was a good read.

Todd Crandell's book Racing For Recovery is one of my favorites.  I just read Chrissie Wellington's book but it wasn't quite what I expected.  You Are An Ironman (mentioned earlier) is fun.  First Triathlons is also a quick, entertaining read if you're looking for motivation, as well as First Marathons.

Well, that's about as true a book title as they come.  Laughing

Lance is going on Oprah with this news...

Renaming book to...

Well, it's DEFINITELY not about the bike.

yes this is a good book, purely fiction, but a good read. Personally my copy along with Every second Counts will be going into the first camp fire of the year.

I recently read 'Born to Run' and 'Eat & Run' which led me to these...I'd recommend both.

Be Brave, Be Strong: A Journey Across the Great Divide - Jill Homer

Running on Empty: An Ultramarathoner's Story of Love, Loss, and a Record-Setting Run Across America - Marshall Ulrich

I'm only 35 or so pages into Haruki Murakami's "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running", and I'm finding it interesting. It is not the inspirational stuff you normally read from athletes or coaches who decide to write. It is the insight of a very important writer who enjoys running and reflects about what it means for him.

It's very straightforward and I can relate to a lot of the stuff I've read so far (like his thoughts on "why do I run", or "what do I think while I'm running").Again, not done with it, but I'm liking it a lot so far.

X2 on "Be Brave, Be Strong" by Jill Homer. I just read it and it was a great read about digging deep - I feel like it was a total bargain at only $2.99 for Kindle. It's her story of riding the Great Divide mountain bike race from Banff, Canada to the border of Mexico. I liked it so much that now I'm reading her book "Ghost Trails", which is also pretty good so far.
