That was a hilarious article. Yes, I love the daring "dance of defiance" in which she so bravely decided to tone down her sexuality by wearing a streetwalker's outfit then gyrate all over the stage. I really enjoyed this quote: "Beyoncé’s body is important — not because it is hypersexualized — but because it was a women’s body only, not a woman’s body sculpted for a man." Really? Because I don't have one buddy who would sculpt a woman to look much different than Beyonce. Don't get me wrong. I'm not dumping on this woman. She's an entertainer. Madonna's been doing this for years. Beyonce shaking her rump is not an "act of defiance." She's a beautiful woman showing LOTS of skin. It has, does, and always will bring in lots o' moolah. More power to her. |

That would have been good.
They used to do the different cameos every 30 seconds before the wardrobe malfunction. I like the idea of different performers but it turns into a mash of something that "usually" doesn't come together. I thought this year was pretty good. There were parts of the singing that fell off but that is reasonable when she is dancing that much and putting on a show. Any singer can stand in front of a microphone and belt it out but it's a boring show (almost every country concert I've ever been to). Beyonce looked great, danced it, and sang it. Two thumbs up for me |

I bet most guys didn't know the other girls weren't just other provocatively dressed dancers. I was waiting for someone interesting to jump in. I think something like throwing in Linkin Park would be a good way to mix it up. This just seemed like an odd girl power spectacle. Now THAT I would love to see. All the pretty girls are gyrating around to pre-recorded backing vocals and Linkin Park comes in and starts kicking a** and taking names. Agree with this also! If that were the case I might actually watch the half-time show! |

That is true. I mean he does have a mean marketing machine too, but he really seems to be able to give people what they are looking for. |
