16 months on an island is a piece of cake. In space it'll be a bit (a LOT) tougher, but perhaps not as much as you might think. Don't underestimate how quickly time can fly by when you get into a routine. There will have to be plenty of things to occupy the mind. I'm sure that there'll be regular contact with Earth, and regular daily maintenance type (busy) work to do. A treadmill and a bike trainer would be great |
