Found this today in our RCW for WA State. It is legal to be intoxicated while riding a bike in WA State. I may have to try this out on the next training ride and "liven up" the water bottle. this may make the cold winter rides a bit better.

See? Cyclists ARE polluted. So that's why they're talking about a tax

I can remember in college stopping for a couple of pints towards the end of a ride around Lake Washington.  It made for an awfully fun final few miles back home.

Interesting.

Is a bike not considered a vehicle in Washington? Here a DUI on a bike is considered the same as operating any other vehicle under the influence.

In PA a bike is a vehicle and subject to the the same common laws as a motorcycle, automobile, boat, jet-ski, and, apparently, riding mower. Last year there was a story in the news where a man was sent to prison for causing an accident while BUI (biking under the influence).

A beer every half hour or so should be okay shouldn't it?

I went to school at WSU. We used to do a ride called the Bike n Barf. Basically consisted of drinking, biking to each bar, drinking, biking to the next bar, drinking.... failing down, drinking, more failing, then police. I'm pretty sure some citation was issued to a participant now and then. Ah, the good old days.
