I'm a recent convert to the Hoka One One Bondi B2 & S2.

I do like my Hoka Bondi's as well.

It really has been a life saver for me (figuratively and not literally).

I had been dealing with so many foot, achilles, and calf problems since late-2011/early-2012 that I had pretty much scrapped the idea of doing any long running.  I spent plenty of time in the orthopedic doc's office last year.  I tried all kinds of shoes, stretches, PT, whatever.  Nothing seemed to work.  Which stinks seeing that I only do HIM and IM distance races and "need" to do some long running.

The Hoka's cleared up nearly all my issues.  I would pay $500 a pair if I had to.

exactly why I got Hokas too.  Have had this problem in my left heel, and Hokas do the trick.

Asic Kayano 18.  I broke my right leg years ago.  Now it is 3/4" shorter than the left.  This gives me issues in my left leg wether it is PF or s splints.  I tried Brooks Revanna 3's and developed PF so bad I was down 3 weeks.  Immediatly went back to Kayanos.  I still have pain but it is managable, and it has never caused me to miss a workout.  I am willing to try other shoes if anyone has a suggestion.  I am an over pronator, 183Lbs

Altra Instinct for most running. Superior for rougher terrain. Adam for treadmill. Once in awhile I'll use an older pair of Saucony Kinvara 2 for some shorter running.

iruptacopula - 2013-03-10 6:19 PM Brooks Ghost 5

Brooks Ghost 5 and Nike Flyknit Lunar1+.  I underpronate and without the right shoe, my knees have issues.  No issues with either of these shoes.  I like them both.

Skechers GoRuns. Great shoes. I gave myself PF a couple of years ago, and the ladies at the Tri store told me about GoRuns, and the PF left. I have four pair in rotation, and a few more in backup. I've used various Nikes, and have Kinvara 3's I rarely use. I also have a pair of GoRun Rides, which are like the Sauconys, but better, but I prefer the GoRuns.

The current GoRuns are "GoRun M's," meaning midfoot strike. If you've never tried them on, they have very good arch support, and minimal heel strike (which if you know about plantar faciitis, they're excellent).

Brooks Green Silence, just switched from Asics Hyper speeds. Same idea, a little more room in the toe box.

Been wearing Asics Gel Nimbus and love them but I have a nagging hip issue (SI joint?) and looked at some slow motion video and I heel strike about 50% of the time when I thought I was a forefoot runner.  I'm rethinking my shoes and hope to take part in a run clinic in a couple weeks to see what they suggest for shoes.  Maybe not a full barefoot style but something in between?

I split 50/50 between Brooks Ghosts and Pure Connects. I like the low drop when I want to think about form, but too much running with that little cushion makes the soles of my feet angry so I go back to the Ghosts.

I race in Zoot Kiawe.

I'm rotating Mizuno Alchemy and trying to get used to a pair of Newton Momentum.  I really like the Momentum, but I've had a case of PF for more than 2 years, and neither shoe is doing it any favors.  I find that when I add my custom orthotics to the mix, my foot hurts even more.  I'm thinking of trying the Hokas when my current shoes have enough miles on them so I don't feel guilty not wearing them out.

Nimbus for the last few pairs. I am interested in the Hokas, but no near stores carry them to try on.
