Ok... having tried twice to do a CF challenge... my knee just isn't taking it.  I can bike and swim, but running and other activities can be problematic.

First loser dropout!

Peace.

Definately don't do anything to aggrevate your knee, especially not trying to start crossfit if it's already hurting. But htere are alos a lot of workouts that don't involve the knee, or you could just leave out the parts that aggrevate it.

Best thing if it hurts is to let it rest. Do you know what the problem is? Have you seen a doctor for it yet?

Given my run on July 3, which had a great deal of hills (for me), and a 1-mile long downhill run, I would guess that did it... and no I haven't seen a doctor for it.  I just haven't found a CF workout that I could do that didn't involve the legs somehow and didn't aggravate my knee. (If I were a betting man, I would put money on ITB... so I am resting it and seeing how it goes... it has gotten better with rest.)

 Peace.

Wow, 4 is impressive.

I did one...the last time I tried this, I got 2 rounds, this time I did 4 1/2. The first time I just got irritated and quit. This time I really was spent and quit at around 8 1/2 minutes. So it wasn't teh full CF workout, but I still felt it for several days...

As many rounds as possible in 20 minutes:
5 pullups
10 pushups
15 squats

I did the pullups modified...I don't have a PU bar here, but I laid under the kitchen table, grabbed the top with an underhand gripped and pulled up...lso they were more like rows than full pullups.

When I went from regular pushups to knee pushups I decided to quit and check on dinner. Each time gets better.

I only got in 1 CF wo this week. I"ll do better next week.

I was on vacation at the beach last week so I had to pull out some old WODs:

7/14/06

CF WOD from 11/23/05   ~15:15
4 rounds for time:
440 run
50 squats

Ouch - when they look easy, you know they will hurt! The runs were done along HWY 1 ducking behind a dune to do squats so I wouldn't look like a nut.

7/12/06

Modified "Angie"  ~21:20
135 Push-ups
135 Sit-ups
135 Squats

-I didn't have a pull up bar so I split the 100 reps of pull-ups among the push-ups, sit-ups and squats.

7/9/06

CF WOD from 2/12/06
Run 5K - 23:14

I'll have to use the Taco Toss 5k in Dewey Beach as my third WOD for the week. Not my best effort, but it was done in a pizza and beer fueled, sleep deprived state.

It looks like I missed some good HQ WODs last week, although Lynn, Cindy, Linda & Fran in the same week would have left me crippled.
