An absolute fixture at Woodstock. His song, "Freedom" was an improv as he was early on and had to perform for almost 3 hours because none of the other artists could get there and we're stuck in traffic.

I had the chance to see him about 4 years ago at the Mohegan Sun and he put on a great show. His hands are absolutely HUGE!

Well,dang...

Really talented man and like a number of other folks, he cemented his place in pop culture with an over the top performance at Woodstock. He did plenty of other stuff before and after his gig there, but it's hard to think of him outside the context of leaving the stage drenched in sweat while 300k kids are screaming hysterically.

I must have watched 'Woodstock - the Movie' dozens of times over the years and these iconic performances still get me fired up. .

RIP, Ritchie - a lot of people will never forget you.

College station was playing Haven's live version of 'Just Like a Woman'(Dylan) on my way to the pool this am. Jesus, that guy had some kind of soul...
